Titans will play at the Rockwind Community Links in Hobbs
BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Eastern Florida State College men’s golf team will tee off in the National Preview on Monday in New Mexico.
The Titans will play at the Rockwind Community Links in Hobbs, New Mexico where the NJCAA Division I National Tournament will be played in May.
“The big thing about it is we are going to a place that is different for all of the guys, none of them have really played in that kind of elevation before,” Eastern Florida State College men’s golf coach Jamie Howell said.
“The golf ball is going to travel six to eight percent farther and that is going to be good to see so they know what to expect in May.”
Eastern Florida State College has had the same five play in every tournament this fall as sophomores Adam Vermut, Nick Miller, and Bryan Hernandez are joined by freshmen Masen McKain and Jamie Chepenik.
The team won the first event of the season and then placed second in the Southeastern District Preview in September.
“Those guys have stepped forward this fall but we will need some help going forward, but those five have separated themselves from the other three so far,” Howell said.
